The Bombay Royale perform hometown show
After a successful five week tour throughout the UK and Europe, Melbourne 11 piece The Bombay Royale are coming home for a show at Melbourne's new venue "Howler." The band have also just released their latest EP Phone Baje Na , so if you want to get a taste of the new EP, make sure to head to Howler in Brunswick on Saturday August 31.
Melbourne band The Bluebottles will start the night off, and DJ Chris Gill will be performing on the decks.
Delsinki Records single launch
Melbourne based singer songwriter Delsinki Records (aka Craig Johnston) will be launching the second single from his debut EP on Sunday October 6 at Toff In Town. The new single "Burnt Out By The Light" was written in memory of Johnston's former bandmate Sonny Lewis, who passed away late last year. The animated film clip for the single is now out and can be watched on YouTube.
The self titled EP includes three other tracks - "In Over My Head", "Sanchez" and "What You Dream Is Not Your Fault". So if you want to support Delsinki Records release his new single head to Toff In Town on October 6. Tickets are $10 on the door. Also performing on the night is Sydney troubadour Karl Broadie, who is launching his new album, and Citrus Jam.
Les Thomas CD Launch
Local troubadour and activist Les Thomas has just announced the launch of his new album Survivor's Tales, which will take place at Thornbury Theatre on Friday September 20. The album, which was recorded over two years, is focused on telling human stories of enduring adversity and injustice, with the track "Free Ranjini" a direct call for the release of Tamil refugee and mother of three who is currently help in Villawood Detention Centre.
So to see Les Thomas perform live, head to the Thornbury Theatre on September 20 at 7:30pm. Ticket options include $15 for standing room only, $20 for a seated show and $55 for dinner and a show. Grab your tickets now from Oztix.

The Dames launch debut album
Clare Moore, Kaye Louise Patterson and Rosie Westbrook make up The Dames, who are launching their debut self titled album on Saturday 14 September at The Bridge Hotel. Not only will they be performing in Castlemaine, but they will also launch the album on Sunday 29 September at Northcote Social Club.
Support at The Bridge Hotel will be Jeff Williams, and Morning After Girls at Northcote Social Club. Make sure to grab tickets to see The Dames launch their debut self titled album.
De La Soul return to Australia
After having a career that spans 20 years and winning a Grammy, USA hip hop trio De La Soul are coming back to Australia. De La Soul will be performing on Friday December 27 at The Esplanade Hotel.

Indian Red EP launch
Melbourne folk pop group Indian Red have just released their follow up EP Julia. To celebrate the release, Indian Red will be performing at The Workers Club on Sunday 25 August. Also performing in the night will be Mericans and I Know The Chief.

Swervedriver add second and final Melbourne date
Due to overwhelming demand, a second and final show has been added to Swervedrivers upcoming Australian tour at the Northcote Social Club. It has been 22 years since Swervedriver released their debut alum RAISE. So if you want a trip down memory lane with the band performing RAISE in its entirety, make sure to head to Northcote Social Club on Sunday 29 September.
Joe Creighton brings "Into The Mystic - The Songs of Van Morrison" to Melbourne
Bass player Joe Creighton will be bringing his sell out show "Into The Mystic - The Songs of Van Morrison" to The Yarraville Club on Friday 27 September. Creighton and his seven piece band will play homage to Van Morrison, with the show moving effortlessly from decade to decade, showcasing Van Morrison's journey.

Snarski vs Snarski at The Flying Saucer Club
The Snarksi household rivalry continues, with brothers Mark and Rob Snarksi going head to head at the Flying Saucers Club. They will be playing a back catalogue from their shared band Chad's Tree, as well as Jackson Code and Blackeyed Susans.

Cosmo Jarvis announces Australian tour
The UKs Cosmo Jarvis is returning to Australia, with several stops in Victoria including two shows at Melbourne, plus one at Ballarat, Castlemaine and Geelong. Cosmo Jarvis has been embraced in Australia with hits including "Love This", "Sure As Hell Not Jesus" and "Gay Pirates".
Cosmo Jarvis will stop in at the Northcote Social Club on Tuesday 15 October, The Workers Club on Wednesday 16 October, Karova Lounge on Friday 18 October, Bridge Hotel on Saturday 19 October and Barwon Club on Sunday 20 October.
Joining Cosmo Jarvis for the trip will be Sydney quartet Lime Cordiale.

Bitch Prefect launch "Adelaide".
This spring Bitch Prefect will be launching their first single since their 2012 LP. The single is titled "Adelaide" and will be available on September 6. It is the first single off their upcoming LP Bird Nerds.
So make sure to head to The Curtin on Saturday 14 September to support the band launch their single. Also performing on the night is Constant Mongral and Justin K Fuller.
Vika and Linda come to The Yarraville Club
Vika and Linda are sisters who have sung for The Dalai Lama and the King of Tonga and have had a career spanning 25 years. Now the sisters are coming to The Yarraville Club on Saturday September 7.

Zomby announces first ever Melbourne show
England's DJ Zomby is set to play a very rare show at Melbourne's New Guernica on Friday 13 September, his first ever performance in the city. 2013 has seen Zomby release his most recent album With Love, jam packed with 33 tracks divided into two volumes.

Dustin Tebbutt single launch
Newcomer Dustin Tebbutt has spent two years in Sweden, and has now returned with some indie/folk tunes. Lead single is "The Breach", which has been receiving heavy airplay on Triple J. To launch the single, Dustin will be performing at The Workers Club on Thursday 19 September.
Also performing on the night is orchestral folk musician Packwood and New York born, Melbourne based songstress Ariela Jacobs.
